Science Fun

Last week we had so much fun carrying out some science experiments. One of our favourite was exploring what happens when you add mentos to coke. We are looking forward to more science this term.

Pool Party

On Wednesday we celebrated the reopening of our swimming pool with an official ceremony and a whole school pool party! There was a slip n slide where we slid so fast some of us fell off the end! The water fight was a challenge, dodging shots from every direction but we all managed to come out of the battlefield smiling and laughing. Having our photo taken in front of the green screen was so realistic. Some of us really felt like we were being chased by a shark or under a cool waterfall. What a great day!

Science Van

Science in a Van visited our school. Mack and Devon welcomed them and did an amazing job. We were all engaged and excited to learn about science. It was funny watching Mrs Palmer scared that she might get wet from the liquid in the cup. Connor did a great job identifying wood! Hayz and Haami liked being a volunteer too. They gave us a fun way to remember what a liquid, solid and gas is by using our hands. We can't wait to try our more science in the classroom!

Here is a link to a video the science van made with Mack and Devon.

1st Week Back

Well we are back at school and so far we have had lots of fun. We have had a snowball fight, been for lots of swims, did some bottle flipping for maths and had fun creating some art. What a great start to the year!
