River and Waimarie Museum Visit

On Monday we walked down to the river.  We had our lunch sitting under the trees with a great view of the river.  Our challenge after lunch, in pairs was to take a landscape photo using an iPad.  Lots of us took photos of the Durie Hill Tower, Waimarie and the river.  We wondered who the winner would be?  Our visit to the Waimarie Museum was amazing.  The information and knowledge we learnt from the wonderful people at the museum was helpful to our inquiry we are doing back at school.

Learning to Persist

Mrs Steedman gave us the challenge to work in groups of three to make a tall tower out of playing cards.  Often our towers collapsed so we had to persist to try to build another one.  When we were working together, encouraging of each other and used a rough surface this made making the tower easier.
